The Parlay is a positive system of bet progression that aims to erect a "pyramid" of profits for us. As in all blackjack systems, Parlay's potential is reliant on play strategies that considerably improve our hand play and several factors that affect betting strategies and systems.

Being a positive betting system, Parlay increases bets right after wins and lowers them right after losses. An outstanding feature of this system is betting winnings in addition to the original bet and does so as long as the thread of winnings continues. When the Parlay player wins, no winnings are taken but left with the original bet. The player just lets the bet ride to the next game play. The Parlay concept is also found in horse racing, interest compounding in banks (where interests overlap and added).

Hence, in an actual play, when we get a blackjack and paid 3:2, our $10 bet is rewarded $15 while we retain our original bet. But because we opt for a Parlay system, we bet our $15 winnings plus the original $10. The bet total is $25. As long as our winnings continue consecutively, we keep to the betting pattern. The moment we lose, we go back to $10 and build up again in the same manner.

The Parlay system can let us win big, but losing may mean an abrupt big loss of all our gains. Hence, a good disciplined bankroll system is a good partner of the Parlay system. We put a limit on our overall bets and know when winning is enough and leave. The common rule is that prolonged playing in casinos always makes a down trend inevitable in the end.
